Mago National Park

Safari Tour Package

This Park is located in Gamo Gofa region, in the eastern bank of Omo River 770 kms away to the south western direction from Addis Ababa. It covers 2,162 sq. kms of an area with an altitude ranging from 450-2,528 meters above sea level. The highest mountain is Mount Mago to the north of the park. Temperature ranges from 14- 42 degree centigrade and rainfall 480 mm.

The fauna of this park are various. Buffalo, Giraffe and Elephant are some. Among the 56 species of mammals are Topi, Lelwel hartebeest, lion, cheetah, leopard, Burchell’s Zebra, Gernuk, Oryx, and Greater and Lesser Kudu.

The bird wildlife is of the dry grass land habitat featuring bustards, hornbills, weavers and starling. Kingfishers and herons are seen aroung the Neri river. There are 153 species of which 3 are endemic.

8 days & 7 nights

Day 1  Day 1  Arrival at Bole Int’l Airport in Addis Ababa and a short drive to your hotel. In the evening, go to one of the best restaurants in the city and while taking dinner and some drinks, enjoy watching the various cultural dances of the country’s ethnic groups while sometimes being provoked to be involved yourself in the scene.

Day 2  Drive from Addis Ababa to the south direction and reach Arbaminch city so as to pass the night there. It is 540 kms.

Day 3  Drive to the Park direction and reach some camp sites near the river Neri and build once camp there for the coming days. Reorganize your ventures with guide and the local guides and security.

Day 4,5  & 6 Enjoy your time game viewing, sight seeing and observing the different fauna and bird species with your binocular & camera.

Day 7  Drive back to Arbaminch in the morning and after breakfast continue to Addis so as to finalize the long journey and pass the night in Addis.

Day 8  Flight to your next destination.

Kafta-Sheraro National Park

Safari Tour Package

This Park is found in the North western part of the country. The Tekeze river passes crossing this park towards the West to the Sudan. It is a new park of its kind. The area has been developed to be a park because of the composition of the species around. Elephants, Antelopes and various kinds of birds are found in the area.

The Park is located some 60 to 70 kms. from the northern zone of Tigray region’s capital Shire Endaselassie. It is having the old monastery of Waldiba within its constituency.

Tour Program

10 Days & 9 nights

Day 1  Arrival at Bole Int’l Airport in Addis Ababa and a short drive to your hotel. In the evening, go to one of the best restaurants in the city and while taking dinner and some drinks, enjoy watching the various cultural dances of the country’s ethnic groups while sometimes being provoked to be involved yourself in the scene.

Day 2  Fly from Addis Ababa to Shire city on the domestic flight and reach Shire in time to get prepared for the Game viewing and observation of the various Fauna and bird species in the park next day. The park is accessible by the known local guides and guards that can be assigned from the local Authorities. Overnight in Shire city.

Day 3  After having collected food items for the day, drive to the most accessible sight viewing of the targets as guided by the local guides. Lunch will be around. You may be advised to have your campsite in the nearby small cities where the main road from Shire to Sheraro pass by. It won’t be advisable to go back to Shire to return again next day. Overnight in the campsite around the local people.

Day 4, 5, & 6 would be the periods where you will be engaged to make adventures to the park from different directions so as to view, observe or sight see the elephants, the antelope, rare leopard etc. Since the park encompasses Waldebba Monastery within it, you will be in a position to observe the surroundings of this old monastery and the religious people living there. Besides, you will also be in a position to observe various bird species in the park.

Day 7  You will be interested to tour Axum city which is on your way to your final destination and around 150 kms from the park. Axum, which is more than three thousand years old city, with its Queen Sheba castle and the standing and fallen steles, would be area which you cannot miss while you are already around it. Over night in the city.

Day 8 would be the day where the situation would force you to observe the relics of the old human history, old castles, caves, kings’ tombs, etc.

Day 9  You are to drive 25 kms from Axum to adwa, where the Ethiopians defeated the Italian occupation force in 1886 and where the first anti-colonial repulsion was effectively signaled here in the horn of Africa. PM fly from Axum to Addis for your next flight of your destination next day. Over night in Addis Ababa.

Day 10 Fly to your destination.

Chebera Churchura National Park

Safari Tour Packages

One of the western highlands of 1215 sq. km of an area well-watered jungle and savanna. With help of experienced scouts, this is most reliable place to view elephants, and most secretive wildlife like buffalo, lion, leopard and antelope are also seen in this swampy area. Besides, Bushpig and giant forest hog are also observed.

Walking trails lead to four lilly covered lakes in the area where you would observe hippos and from a campsite around the edges of river Shoshuma, you would observe  white-cheeked turaco, slivery-cheeked hornbill, half-collard kingfisher, double-toothed barbet, and plenty of monkeys. Other attractions around could be hot springs and twin waterfalls on the Bardo river.

Safari Program

6 days 5 nights

Day 1  Drive from Addis Ababa to the Chebera Chrchura National Park and make your own campsite at the edges of Shoshuma river so as to get prepared for Game viewing and observation.

Day 2  Day After breakfast, being guided by the area’s scout, start walking with your camera and compass and binocular so as to catch the movement of the target wildlife in the park as mentioned above. Lunch could be at campsite and pass the afternoon evaluating and chatting. Overnight in campsite.

Day 3 & 4 would be similar ventures but with different routes and directions so as to cover the park’s safari.

Day 5  Drive back to Addis Ababa and overnight in the city preparing for your next flight detination.

Gambella National Park

Safari Tour Package

The ideal time to under a safari tour and observation of Gambella National Park is between March and June. The park has an area of 5,060 sq.km and it is northerly bordered by the Baro river , one of the biggest rivers that join the Nile in the Sudan. During this season, around 1.2 million white-tailed kob, the African antelope passes by the park during its annual migration from Sudan.

The park harbors the endangered Nubian Giraffe, localized antelope Nile Lechewe, Lelwel hartebeest, and tiang, some populations of Lion, Leopard, buffalo and elephant and the largely terrestrial patas monkey.

A bird list of 327 species are available in the park. Papyrus-dwelling shoebill stork, Uelle paradise waydah, Egyptian plover, African skimmer, exquisite little green bee-eater.

Game viewing is best accommodated around Matara 185 km from Gambella City.

Tour Program

10 Days & 9 nights

Day 1  Arrival at Bole Int’l Airport in Addis Ababa and a short drive to your hotel. Day 2 &3  Depending on the transport of your choice, either you are going to start the 780 kms long journey by car from Addis viewing on your way, Welisso city, Omo or Gibe river, Jimma city, the home of Abba Jiffar, Agaro, Mettu, Gore, and thereby Gambella city. It may take two days while a good respite on the way. If you wish to fly, then direct flight from Addis to Gambella is available based the domestic schedule.

Day 4, 5 & 6 You will arrange your drive to Matara, the sight place for the wild animals and arrange your camp by the tent you have at the right place guided by your guide and the local security. Continue your game viewing and observation having your camera, compass and binocular and continue doing this for three days. Overnight and food arrangement is under your jurisdiction with food items you have taken or something that you may buy around like a goat or a sheep.

Day 7  Drive back to Gambella city and overnight there at standard hotel.

Day 8  Drive back to Addis through the same road that you used previously. Overnight at Jimma city.

Day 9   Drive back to Addis Ababa to pass the night there.

Day 10  Flight to your next destination.

Babille National Park

4 days & 3 nights

Day 1  Arrival at Bole Int’l Airport and drive to your hotel to take rest. In the Evening, you will go to one of the best Restaurants in the city so as to pass the time watching the various cultural dances of the ethnic groups in the country.

Day 2  Fly to Dire Dawa in the morning and continue to Harar by car. In Harar city, you will go in the evening to directly watch while the Hyenas are being fed by their men directly. If you have the gut, you can also feed them by yourself without having to fear of any accident. Overnight in Harar Ras or Wintana hotels.

Day 3  You will drive to Babille National Park to watch the flock of Elephants roaming there. You will also sight seeing various wild and peculiar animals and birds. The Whole day will be to enjoy the venture. In the after noon drive to Harar to pass the night there. But if there is time, drive to Dire Dawa to pass the night. However, if time is not enough, overnight in Harar.

Day 4  Drive to Dire Dawa so as to fly to Addis Ababa and thereby fly to your last destination.

Simien National Park

6 days & 5 nights

Day 1  Arrival at Bole Int’l Airport in Addis Ababa and drive to your hotel. Pass the evening in one of the Restaurants of the city where you will enjoy cultural dances and costumes of various ethnic groups of the country and thereby get a life time memory of the occasion.

Day 2  Fly to Gonder city 760 kms from Addis Ababa in the North western of the country and drive to Debark where you will have lunch. Overnight there.

Day 3  Drive to the Simien Mountains an altitude of 4430 meters above sea level so as to sight see and watch the endemic wild life fauna like Walia Ibex,  Gelada Baboon and Simien Fox, Grey Duiker and klipspringer among the 21 species of which the first three are endemic. The bird life includes Lammergeyers and choughs are among the 63 species found there. Thick billed Raven, Black headed Seskin, White Collared Pigeon, Wittled Ibis, White-billed Starling, Spot-breasted Plover, and  White Backed Tit. Overnight at Semien Lodge. It is cold and could reach 11 to 18 degree centigrade. Camp sites are possible in various locations.

Day 4  It will also be for a similar adventure and PM return back to Debark for overnight.

Day 5 Drive to Gonder and visit 16th century castle of Fasiledes and pass the evening in one of the known restaurants of the city. Overnight there.

Day 6  Fly from Gonder to Addis for the next Transfer flight destination.

Awash National Park

5 days & 5 nights

Day 1  Arrival at Bole Int’l Airport in Addis Ababa and drive to your hotel. During the evening go to one of the Restaurants in the city and pass the time with the interesting cultural dances of the various ethnic groups in the country and this will leave with a life time memory.

Day 2  After breakfast drive to Awash National Park 225 kms from Addis Ababa and reach around Lunch time.  Altitude is  750- 2,007 meters.  THe Park’s southern boundary is the Awash river, there is the dormant volcano of Fentale in the middle, there is the Awash Falls and hot springs within.Take rest in Awash Lodge or similar lodge around and PM start sight seeing the various wild life of the Park.

Fauna:- 46 species including Beisa Oryx, Greater and Lesser Kudu, Soemmering’s Gazelle, Swayne’s Hartebeest, Lion, Hamadryas, and Amubis Baboon and their hybrids, Defassa Waterbuck, Salt’s dik-dik.

Bird Life:- 5 endemics among the 392 species found in the Park. Green Wood Hoopoe,Red and Yellow Barbet, Emerald- spotted Wood Dove,Carmine bee-Eater, Several Bustard species, Fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Lanner Pygmy Falcon, Blabk-Shouldered Kite, Dark Chanting Goshawk, varities of  Kingfishers and Rollers, Ostrich and Lammergeyer.

Caravan Lodge and camp site at the Awash Falls and around.

Day 3 & 4 would be for the adventure.
